Enemansa biomass power generation plant
Renewable energy from the olive groves of La Mancha
The Enemansa plant, located in Ciudad Real, has an installed capacity of 16 MW and is capable of producing more than 100 GWh per year, sufficient to meet the electricity needs of nearly 30,000* households.
The facility specialises in the energy recovery of olive pomace generated by local olive oil mills. This by-product of the olive sector is a clear example of the circular bioeconomy, as it efficiently and sustainably converts agricultural residues into renewable electricity.
The facility holds SURE certification.

Circular economy in its purest form
Enemansa adds value to olive biomass that traditionally lacked sustainable uses, thereby helping to close the utilisation cycle of the olive oil sector. This activity generates additional income for farmers, promotes crop maintenance and avoids the uncontrolled burning of residues.
We hold AENOR’s Zero Waste certification, which demonstrates that more than 90% of our waste is valorised, as well as certification for our Circular Economy Strategy.
Territorial impact
The plant maintains a close relationship with its surroundings, generating nearly 400* direct, indirect and induced jobs, activating local biomass logistics and strengthening the area’s agro-industrial productive fabric. Its efficient scale also enables reduced environmental impact with a high energy contribution.
